Coque HTC Desire Case-Mate Barely There - Noire

To be honest I only bought this because my handset was getting on a bit and I wanted to enjoy the form factor before trading it in for peanuts. It allows for a firmer grip without casing a creaky battery cover, which is good. Also the texture feels very nice. Do not buy this type of case if you want to maintain a pristine device. The front is completely exposed. It covers the corners I guess, and protection from a drop is possible. The screen protector supplied isn't too bad. Apply to the middle of the screen because its obvious that its not a pefect fit. Thats why peeps get bubbles trying to make it flush exact to the outside. Overall its worth bearing in mind that the main part it 'protects' is the battery cover. Which a replacement can be purchased for less than the price of this case.

I got this particular case as I read in other reviews that you can use it with the "Deluxe Desktop Charging Cradle". Only I can't! With the case on it won't dock into the cradle and taking it off each time is such a hassle. The case it self would be perfect normally - it is just my individual requirements. So I cannot rate it down even though I can't use it!

A very aptly named product brand, barely there is just what it is. Excellent protection and blends into the phone styling very well. Screen protector application was not easy and I have the usual bubble present. Mobile fun service excellent, received next morning on a first class delivery basis, thank you.

Once again, and excellent purchase from Mobile Fun. This case does what it says on the name, ie. it IS barely there. It fits around my HTC Desire like a glove, and the fit is so close there is no movement. All ports, switches, & toggles are accessible, and the bonus is that the camera lens is protected by the case slightly protruding to shield it. One downside is fitting the screen protector. Clean the screen with the included cloth - great. Peel off the back, apply with the included stiff card - also great. Peel off the front cover paper - nightmare! This took much teasing and fingernail work, with a little help from a cloth dabbed in Meths, to remove all traces. Relatively simple to do, but irritating all the same. Otherwise, a brilliant product, which I use all the time, to protect my valuable Desire.

My son is quite delighted and reports that "it does exactly what it says on the tin!"

The case mate is stylish and sleek. It is robust and I liked it a lot.

This was more expensive than some others but it is well worth the money. The case protects the phone well without it being too bulky

I bought this a few weeks ago for my new phone and can't fault it. Although it's a hard case it wraps around the phone beautifully and doesn't seem to affect any of the phone's performance. Having dropped the phone a couple of times accidently as well I can confirm it does what it's intended to do as well. It doesn't cover the front though, so you will need a screen protector of some sort.

Excellent case which really is 'barely there'. I wanted a case which would not add to the size of the phone, nor one which protruded. This case fulfills both of these well - it's very thin (but strong) and the front is flush with the screen. High quality non-slip material also. As a guy, i didn't particularly want a case which would stand out - just one which you wouldn't even realise was a case - and this is perfect for that. There are cheaper cases, but you do get what you paid for, and this is worth it in my opinion. Was delivered the very next day too.

Quick delivery, and does what it says, protects the phone, without adding any bulk. The screen protector that comes with it, is also excellent.

Very happy with my purchase. It protects the soft rubber areas of the phone but doesn't add bulk. If anything, it improves the phone's look and handling characteristics. The phone and case actually feel like they belong together. The price, though, is less pleasing: on the high side. Perhaps that's the cost of good design.

A nice snug fit. Can hardly tell there is a case on the phone. Nice that you get a screen protector in with the kit. Fits well into HTC Desire desktop case. Very, very tight however in HTC Desire in car kit. Really have to push hard to get in and out. Only gets 4 stars due to extremely tight fit on in car kit, otherwise a very good case.

Already dropped the phone once in an underground car park in London; slightly dented the outer case but fully protected the phone. Thank goodness!.

Excellent cover. Easily fitted. Looks and feels great. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Does not feel bulky or sticky like some gel cases.

After trying many cheap offerings from ebay and throwing them away, this is by far the most functional and unobtrusive case i've used. Bonus that it fits into the car holder/docks

Just what I was after! Doesn't add any extra bulk to the size & protects the screen as well! Only problem I had was removing the sticker from the screen protector.

Bought this after reading review! the case itself is light,thin and nice feel to it,excellent fit to the phone, so much you forget its there, pleasantly surprised at screen protector, had these in the past and usually end up taking them off, but not this one does the job! and guess what no bubbles!! thats a result! would highly recommend (get bought)

Brilliant product. Offers protection for the main areas of the phone. Protects the camera. It is ultra thin and sleek. After using it for a while you will forget you have a case. The main factor in buying this case for me was the face it is flush with he screen level. If I have carrying a bank card or similar in the same pocket it won\'t get caught in the phone case and lost whenever i take out the phone. This happened my ID on a night out with a different phone. Used in conjuction with a screen protector and this is perfect.

This is a great case. Slim line, doesn't make the handset feel to big. matte finish which is better than the silicones as doesn't catch on your clothes. Definitely recommend

Great, really is "barely there". Only downside now the phone won't fit into a desktop cradle.

A great case. It's name 'barely there' is very fitting as it is quite actually... It's snugly fit, sturdy and does the job. All you need from the case.

As usual, nice product from casemate. Fits perfectly.If only someone did a car holder for phones with cases. The HTC Desire with this case fitted can be held in an iPhone 3G car holder. Not a perfect fit but it doesn't shift while driving.

This is a great little case that adds almost nothing to the dimensions of the phone. The included screen protector is a bonus. I would definitely recommend it.

Probably the best semi hard case you will find on the market

Provides the protection that I was looking for. Very pleased with it. The screen protector instructions should be read in their entirety FIRST, there are actually protective films on both sides, and you want to take the one off the sticky side first. If you read as you go along you could get it wrong, like I did.

It looks great, you don't see or feel any extra bulk I'm your pocket, and the phone feels much better in your hand then without the case on. Using it with a Martin Fields screen protector, happy days it might even last for the whole 24 months of the contract

This really does protect the phone while being almost invisible and weightless. No bulky pouch to open when the phone rings. Touch-screen works just the same as if the protector wasn't there. Recommended.

Clever design means that the phone is protected (well the back and sides are) without adding any bulk. Much prefer this to my old silicon case as it shows the phone off nicely.if it covered the top, bottom and chin just a tiny bit more it would be perfect!

Hard plastic case, looks good on. Is a bit tricky to get back off but is do able with care, working from a corner down one edge. Not the volume side. Screen protector, three parts to it, take the back off, put it on, scrape out the air bubbles, then take off the top layer leaving the actual protector in place. Excellent delivery and service from Mobile Fun as always.

The Barely There case for HTC desire by Case Mate is a really good purchase. It protects the phone without being bulky or making the phone ugly. it is elegantly fitted and, furthermore, comes with a screen protector that is easier to apply and better than most of the ones I've tried so far, always ending in bubbles and bad corners. An absolute must for those who want to protect their phone in style!

Nicely made case. Fits really well and nice feel to it. Screen protector is fiddly to fit well, but the trick is to take your time and ensure the screen is totally clean before applying. As a tip, Blu-Tack the phone to the desk to hold it still when applying the screen protector!

As it says its barely there. Doesn't add much weight or bulk to it but still gives it good protection. I've noticed that a few people don't like the screen protector, personally I think it is fine. I have no bubbles or fingerprints under mine and found the instructions easy to follow and some people who I have shown the phone to haven't even realised that their was a screen protector there at all. I would definitely recommend this product.

Really good case. Fits tightly to handset, all buttons fully accessible. Semi-Rigid rather than flexible rubber. If I was needing another case right now I would buy the same one again.

Excellent product, very easy to fit and has the same feel to the back of the Desire.

The case is sleek and covers well, you can get to all the bits you need to. It does exactly what it says it does. The screen protector is very easy to put on and goes on well. I was a little nervous about putting the screen protector on after having read the reviews, its not problem.

Good item. Doesn't add hardly any bulk to the phone like some of the gel cases do and is a tidy colour. Plus comes with a screen cover so all good. Overall B+.

Dead easy to fit / remove. Seems to offer a fair amount of protection, without adding any bulk. The phone is still really easy to slide in and out of a pocket, and the touch screen is still immediately accessible.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Unobtrusive and with a slightly rubberised finish that makes the phone easier to grip and also less likely to slip out of a shirt pocket. I'm using this with a Martin Fields screen protector so worries about minor bumps, scuffs, drops and scratches are now banished.

This is the hard case what you are looking for! Fit perfectly. Feel like the Desire back. Doesn't make the phone bigger. Easy to get it the phone from your pocket not like gel soft cases (not sticky)! I recommend it for everyone, because worth the price.

lucky me fitted the screen protector a couple of days before I wrecked it ripping tiles off the wall!! My lovely screen is fine still though! (wipes sweat off brow!)

Back cover fits excellently Couple of days after I fitted this I put a massive set of scratches on the screen......cover! YIP New cover required but my screen is still perfect!

I was using already different types of protection covers on my HTC Desire but always I was struggeling with the big size increase and the material of the cover. Finally I found this case which perfectly fits to the skin of my HTC. Honestly a lot of my friends didn't see the difference between the "naked" HTC and the covered: This is what I was looking for... Delivery to Italy tooks about 1 week.

This case is brilliant, fits on perfectly and does the trick as I've dropped the thing a few times! Unfortunately the same can't be said for the "complimentary" screen cover you get with it. Upon applying this, the helpful paper tag left half of itself on the sticky side of the protector making it useless. For this it loses a star.

Very slim, covers the camera very well, but unfortunately it doesn't cover the bottom and the top of the phone

Purchased one of these and have to say its very complimentary to the handset, fits snuggly around the HTC. The screen protector was a bonus didn't know one was included and it went on really well for me, no bubbles or fingerprints so well pleased.

Good product great service. The back case is easy 2 put on and a perfect fit. The screen protector is also good but cant get rid of a few air bubbles. It was free tho!.

What can I say - perfect. This covers the back and the corners in one piece so no fiddle bits to get together and it comes with a great screen protector.

Fit's perfectly, you barely notice it's there (lol), just need to now find a desktop charger that will work with it on

This is a decent case made from hard plastic with a rubberised texture to it, not dissimilar to the back of the desire. It clips on easily and fits snugly although there are a few rough edges which make the case feel a bit cheap. There are cutaways giving access to the various buttons, headphone and usb ports. My main concern is that this case only really covers the sides and back of the phone. The top and bottom parts are left exposed as are the side parts of the screen's bezel making me worry about a scratched screen, should it end up falling face down. On that basis I will probably look round for something else with slightly better protection.

A good cover from case-mate. It takes a second to pop your desire into the case, fits perfect, feels lovely in your hand, providing that rubbery feeling around the sides of the phone which I think is a great thing. I can see this lasting a good while and are impressed with it for the price. You can't really skimp out on a cheap case for phones these days, you pay dear for them either one off or on contract so you want to take care of it. Only negative I would say is the screen protector is provided, I wish they didn't put it in there. Wasn't able to go on properly, always bubbles, tried re-positioning, etc. Followed the instructions fine for it although no luck. Will invest in a good quality screen protector for it in the near future.

Perfect hardly there! I'm using the Noreve st. Tropez pouch together with this and it works well

This is a very good Case. It it a perfect fit for the Desire and it takes you 5 seconds to start using it. The delivery from Mobile Fun was also top notch! Very very quick!! However, the screen protector was a nightmare. The instructions are not clear (there are two different ones that don't match), the screen protector comes protected by another two plastic films (which I only realized there was two of them too late), but they are all pretty similar. It is not easy to identify which of them is your actual screen protector (they are all of the same size and transparent) and even more difficult to identify which side of the protector has the glue. And you have to do all of this without touching the glued side, or your protector will be ruined by a permanent fingerprint!! If you manage to apply the protector to your screen, then you must find out a way of not leaving any air bubbles. Again, without leaving fingerprints or dust. Needless to say that I had to bin the screen protector because I accidental touched the glued part due to lack of clear instructions.

Case was better than I thought. Strong and can hardly be seen. I was only looking on line at 5.55 Friday evening and I had the case on the phone first thing on Saturday! Also the screen protector was a surprise bonus too. Well recommended. 5*****

I really like this case! The plastic is good quality and is tactile like the back of the desire. Its not sticky like a silicone case. Slides into my pocket nicely!

ive tried a few cases for my HTC Desire and i must say this one, is by far the best one, its a perfect fit nice Quality material and doesn't makes the phone bigger would love to find another case-mate in a clear fabric.

This item is incompatible with the "Dual Desktop Charging Cradle" and therefore the phone cannot sit in the cradle while the case is on.

The case sports a very good fit, and I recommend it. The screen protector I had to throw away regrettably since I could apply it without getting bubbles around dust specks. Removed it several times, and it just got worse every time.

Just received my case this morning and was annoyed to discover that it comes with a screen protector. That may seem like an odd statement but because it makes no mention of one being included with the case in the blurb I followed the link handily provided by Mobilefun and spent an extra £10.00 on screen protectors, which was no doubt their intention. I can't help but feel that is a bit disingenuous of them, I'll be sending them back.

The quality of the screen protector is ok, but I would not have paid for it. The case has a slightly rubberised feel to it, similar to the back of the Desire. Would recommend.

It clips on and fits perfectly. If anything it makes the phone more secure in my hand. Comes with a free screen protector too! The only thing that is a downfall, and this goes for ALL skins, is that when you have a car cradle it doesnt fit with the skin on! so i have to keep taking it off when im in the car! But that is a small price to pay for the protection it provides when im in the workshop with metal swarf everywhere! I recommend!
