Nice bit of kit but ...
Good, clean design. HD2 fits really well.
However, I drive a Renault Scenic and could not find anywhere on the dashboard that had enough completely flat area to screw the base to.
Solution was to by the universal suction pad arm which I screwed the Drodit base too. Sticking it to the windscreen just to the right of the steering wheel I've no got my HD2 within easy reach for receiving calls and sat nav directions (I use Co-pilot).
So the Brodit is a good buy but only 4-stars as I had to purchase additional hardware.

Brodit Active Holder with Tilt Swivel - HTC HD2
Does what it claims - excellent! Holds phone firmly so there's no strain on the micro usb while charging. I use it with Universal Suction Mount, but screwed the plates together (with supplied screws) rather than sticking, so can re-use the mount if I change phone and therefore holder.

Brodit Active Holder with Tilt Swivel - HTC HD2
As with previous brodit holders i have had i am very pleased again. holds the phone securely. only issue will be if you have a protective skin on your phone as the phone will be too tight. i modified slightly and it now fits fine.

Car HTC HD2 charger and holder

Best Mount for HTC HD2
Brodit make quality mounts for pretty much most devices and this is the 3rd mount i have had from them. The official HTC HD2 mount is only useful if you intend to use Co-Pilot (bundled with phone for trial period of 15 days) but im a TomTom user and the NaviPanel activated when attached to the official mount does not cater for other SatNavs etc (AFAIK). A full Brodit active mount kit will set you back approx £50 delivered whereas the official mount will set you back £60+del. You will also need to change the rear casing of your HD2 to fit the official mount which IMO makes it look ugly. The Brodit mounts have full flexibilty allowing you tilt and swivel and get it into a position thats comfortable for you and you dont have to stick it to your windscreen or dash via suction. The Brodit mounts fit virtually any car in various places and you just need to make sure you purchase the correct bracket for your car. There are cheaper alternatives but none that match the subtelty and quality of Brodit. Highly recommended if you havent considered Brodit.
